Slava spent more than twenty five years inside regulated finance before this firm existed. Banking compliance, auto finance, financial reporting and audit oversight, in organizations where getting the controls wrong was not a theoretical problem.

That background is unusual in a small accounting practice and it changes what he looks at first. Where a lot of preparers start with last year’s return, he starts with how the money actually moves through the business, where the records are thin, and what would happen if somebody asked to see them.

Jillian is the firm’s Certified Public Accountant and leads the tax work. She holds both the CPA and the Certified Accounting Analyst credential, with more than twenty years across taxation, accounting, financial reporting and executive operations.

Her work covers individual and business income tax, corporate and S corporation matters, partnerships, self-employed filers and multi-entity groups, alongside financial statement analysis, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow. Her view is that tax preparation is not an annual event: what you decide in June about structure, payroll or a large purchase sets the number you see in April.
